Hokkaido TV's On-chan Mascot Gets TV Anime in January

Sapporo-based anime to feature native daughter Rie Tanaka
Yume-Miru Anime on-chan (Dreaming Anime on-chan) will premiere on January 18. The animated shorts will air between 7:54 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. every Friday. The on-chan has been HTB's mascot character since it officially debuted on December 1, 1997, and has appeared in parades and various promotions for the station.
Voice actress The Gokusen's Tetsu will play the black version of on-chan, no-chan.
The on-chan character had previously starred in animated commercials for HTB and a 2003 feature-length anime called on-chan Yume Power Dai-Boken (on-chan's Great Dream-Powered Adventure). In the latter work, singer and actress Tomoe Shinohara played the main lead.
