Comedian Eiji "Sugi-chan" Sugiyama plays Hajime Fukuroda in TV show starring EXILE's Akira
The role of the hot-blooded P.E. teacher Hajime Fukuroda in the Miori Takimoto (playing the heroine Azusa Fuyutsuki).
The series begins this July as a Tohru Fujisawa's original school comedy manga about a former gang member who becomes an unorthodox teacher.
Beyond Sugiyama, Akira, and Takimoto, the 51-year-old Ryōsei Tayama round out the cast; Yamamoto will play the part of Toshiyuki Saejima, policeman and bad influence on Onizuka, while Tayama will play Hiroshi Uchiyamada, the loud-mouthed vice-principal and Onizuka's nemesis.
