Characters in the game include the "Four Heavenly King" Bishoku-ya (Toriko, Coco, Sunny, and Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro designed the character Mr. Kimera, the sponsor of the Gourmet Royale bouts.
The game recreates the entire world of Toriko for characters to visit, including the Gourmet Pyramid, the Baron Archipelago, the Cave of the Sandy Beach, and the Regal Plateau. Players can customize their own gourmet monsters from more than 200 different species, and then put them in battles with other players wirelessly in the Gourmet Coliseum.
Namco Bandai Games will release the game on December 13. The first release of the game will include a special AR (augmented reality) card set with an "extremely rare" Jet Black Battle Wolf card. While supplies last, those who buy this game, One Piece Romance Dawn: Bōken no Yoake (One Piece Romance Dawn: The Dawn of Adventure) will receive an original bookmark set.
