Writer Kinoko Nasu Comments on Possible Steam Version, English Localization of Tsukihime Visual Novel Remake

Nasu expressed desire for English, Chinese translations but noted difficulties in creating multilingual for a Steam version

In an interview with 4Gamer posted on Monday, writer dōjin visual novel game.

When asked if he had any plans to release the game on Steam, Nasu responded, "If we were to put out a Steam version, then I would like for it to have multilingual . However, in this game's case, it wouldn't work to just leave it at translation. The visual presentation needs to be adjusted to match the localized text, and we don't have the spare resources for it."

He did, however, mention that he felt a strong desire to at least put out an English and Chinese translation. He also mentioned that the difficulty of translation in itself is one of the obstacles to releasing Type-Moon works overseas.

The game launched in Japan for Takashi Takeuchi also returned as the character designer.

The Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on September 30. The game will have text in Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean. French Bread is developing the game.
