Nasu-The Summer of Andalsia at Cannes

posted on by Christopher Macdonald
Nasu-The Summer of Andalsia premiered in Cannes on Sunday. The screening packed an 800 room theatre to the point where many were standing, and was well received and applauded.

Although some Japanese sources are calling Nasu "the first Japanese Animation ever officially shown at the Cannes Film Festival," fact is that it was actually shown at the director's fortnight, a spin-off of the Cannes Festival that occurs during the festival but is officially independant of the festival. The INTERSTELLA 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem, is also showing at the Director's Fortnight.

This is Madhouse.
