Higurashi director Chiaki Kon to helm TV anime adaptation of manga
The Japanese publisher Kadokawa's website that announced the anime. The webpage was removed shortly after its existence was revealed.
Although no cast or broadcast network has been announced for the anime yet, Studio DEEN.
Following its debut in 2002, the Junjō Romantica manga has sold 2.5 million volumes in Japan alone. The first four volumes of manga in the series are available in English from the Tokyopop's Blu label, with the fifth volume scheduled for release in February 2008. The manga is still in circulation in the quarterly manga magazine CIEL Trés Trés, with occasional special installments in the bimonthly magazine Asuka CIEL.
