Live-Action Himizu Opens in U.K. Cinemas

Sion Shono's manga adaption begins limited cinema run, followed by BD/DVD on August 6.
The distributor Third Window Films is releasing the live-action film of Sion Sono, on Friday June 1 in selected cinemas. This will be followed by a DVD/Blu-ray release on August 6.
Himizu's scheduled cinema screenings are listed on Third Windows' events page. They include screenings at London's Prince Charles, ICA, Renoir and Riverside Studios cinemas. There will also be showings at the Aberystwyth Arts Centre in Wales (June 11-13), the Irish Film Institute in Dublin (from June 22) and the Eden Court Cinema in Inverness, as well as an individual screening on June 27 at the Duke of Yorks cinema in Brighton.
The film has already won the Best New Young Actor or Actress Award for their roles in Himizu at the Venice Film Festival in September.
