Independent Anime Screening at Newcastle December 12

Double-bill of short films Encounters and Midori-ko.
Newcastle's Star and Shadow Cinema (directions) will screen two independent anime short films on Wednesday December 12 at 7.30 p.m. Encounters (2011), pictured, directed by Keita Kurosaka, is a hand-drawn "phantasmagoria of mesmerising and disturbing imagery," about scientists trying to create the perfect super food. The double-bill was programmed in partnership with the Zipangu festival.
