Mamora Gōda's Ashura Michi -Enzai- Manga Goes on Hiatus Due to Arrest

Japanese publishing company Mamora Gōda's Ashura Michi -Enzai- series will be put on hiatus from the company's Shonen Action magazine after his arrest. The company stated, “The manga is currently on hiatus. It is also undecided if the manga will resume serialization.”

The editorial department of the magazine also reported:

We have heard from his family that the arrest took place on June 5. The manga has been on hiatus since then, since we have not received any manuscripts. [Gōda] is also in confinement, so we cannot meet with him... It is currently unknown whether the manga can even resume. Since this is the situation, we will gather together all those involved and discuss [what will happen next].

Gōda started his Ashura Michi -Enzai- series in Shonen Action last year.

Gōda, the 50-year-old manga creator best known for crime-and-punishment stories such as arrested and indicted for indecent behavior towards a woman. According to a source in the investigation, Gōda (whose real name is Mamoru Kaminogō) threw a ball at the woman and committed a threatening obscene act around April 21 in his office in Kokubunji, Tokyo. On May 21, the suspect allegedly threw a ball at the same woman, knocking her down and leaving an injury that lasted two weeks. The nearby Koganei station arrested him that day.

Gōda created the inspired live-action television series.
