Microsoft Japan's Xbox category marketing group member Masashi Inoue responded to Famitsu's inquiry about the announcement:
2015 will provide an attractive game lineup for Xbox, including exclusive titles. This year, Microsoft will not exhibit at Tokyo Game Show, but we are making various preparations to convey the latest Xbox information to fans and the press. We will make an announcement as soon as preparations are in order.
Microsoft launched the Xbox One console in Japan on September 4, two weeks before last year's Tokyo Game Show.
Microsoft Japan sold 23,562 Xbox One PlayStation 4 units during the console's opening weekend in Japan in February 2014.
