HaruChika Mystery Anime Teases Story in 1st Promo Video

The official website for the television HaruChika: Haruta to Chika wa Seishun Suru "musical instrument youth mystery" novel series began streaming the first advance promotional video on Tuesday. The video introduces the characters and teases the story:

Text: TV anime set to start airing in January 2016!

The original novels revolve around two high school students named Haruta and Chika, who are of a wind instrument club that is on the verge of being shut down. The two are childhood friends, and they spend their days practicing hard while also trying to recruit new . When a certain incident happens within their school, they work together to solve it.

The main cast includes:


Sōma Saitō as Haruta Kamijō, a first-year high school student. He is Chika's childhood friend. He is a horn player who has a perfect outward appearance and a clear mind. He worries about the love triangle he is in with Chika.


Sarah Emi Bridcutt as Chika Homura, a first-year high school student. She is a flute player and a musical instrument club member whose dream is to go to the "Koshien" of high school wind music competitions, the "Fumonkan." She is worried about the love triangle she is in with Haruta.


Angel Links) is adapting those designs for animation.

The HaruChika: Haruta to Chika wa Seishun Suru anime will premiere next January.

Hatsuno released the first novel in the series in 2008, and Kadokawa published the fifth novel, Wakusei Karon (Planet Karon), this past summer.
