Kazoku no Hanashi Live-Action Film's Trailer Reveals Theme Song, November Release

The official website for the live-action film adaptation of Japanese comedian Tekken's "Kazoku no Hanashi" (A Family Story) "flip book manga" began streaming a trailer for the film on Tuesday. The trailer reveals the film's November 23 opening, and also previews the film's theme song "dialogue" by Cidergirl.

The cast includes (from left to right in image above) Daichi Kaneko, Kanta Satō, Shinji Mizuta, and Kenkichi Watanabe.
Takeyoshi Yamamoto is directing the film, and Miho Aotsuka is penning the script.
The original short film follows the life of a boy whose parents own an apple farm. While the boy initially dreams of taking part in the same business as the father he idolizes, he eventually drifts away from both of his parents. He moves to Tokyo to perform with his band and achieve his new dream of becoming a professional musician, but he begins encountering setbacks. Through all of his failures, his parents continue to send him money and him.
Tekken debuted the short in 2013 under the planning of The Shinano Mainichi Shimbun newspaper. It won a Silver in the 17th Adfest Awards' Film Lotus category and a Bronze in the Press Lotus category.
Tekken gained famed with Pendulum, a manga "flip book" animation with over 1,620 images he drew by hand. It debuted on a Japanese variety show in 2012. British rock group MUSE inspired a live-action film in 2015.
Tekken also Big Hero 6 film in 2014.
