Akatsuki, Too Kyo Games' Tribe Nine Project Gets TV Anime, Smartphone RPG, Webtoon

The live-streamed "Extreme Progress Report #00" for Akatsuki and WEBTOON green-lit. As announced in the first promotional video below, the anime will start airing and streaming next January.

The cast includes:
- Shun Horie as Haru Shirogane
- Akira Ishida as Shun Kamiya
- Chiharu Sawashiro as Taiga
- Mai Fuchigami as Saori Arisugawa
- Mutsumi Tamura as Santarō Mita
- Fukushi Ochiai as Manami Daimon
- Shōya Chiba as Kazuki Aoyama
- Hiroshi Naka as Tenshin Ōtori
- Junichi Suwabe as Ōjirō Ōtori
- Mikako Komatsu as Yuī Kamiki
The video introduces the first seven characters above in order, and also teases other characters.
Shūhei Yamaguchi is serving as chief producer.
Akatsuki and Too Kyo Games describe the project set in "20XX in the country of Neo Too Kyo," where young people form tribes after the collapse of society:
This title is set in a fictional location that is similar to the 23 Wards of Tokyo, with outlaw gangs of each ward battling for prestige via extreme baseball.
Thursday's event debuted the first promotional video for the smartphone 3D action RPG:
Akatsuki and Too Kyo Games announced the project in February 2020 with several project team from the Danganronpa franchise.
