Madoka Magica -Walpurgisnacht: Rising- Anime Film Delayed to Winter 2025

The film was previously slated to premiere in Japan in winter 2024.
Arakawa Under the Bridge) is directing the film.
The anime film will feature a returning staff from the original anime series and films, including original creators SHAFT.
The returning cast includes:
- Aoi Yūki as Madoka Kaname
- Chiwa Saitō as Homura Akemi
- Kaori Mizuhashi as Mami Tomoe
- Eri Kitamura as Sayaka Miki
- Ai Nonaka as Kyōko Sakura
- Kana Asumi as Nagisa Momoe
- Emiri Katō as Kyubey
The original 12-episode Puella Magi Madoka Magica television anime premiered in January 2011, and streamed the series.
A television anime season debuted in April 2022.
The smartphone game ended service in July.
A Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra smartphone release this year.
