Space Dandy's Kimiko Ueno to be Anime Guest of Honour at Manchester Comic Con

Born in Japan's Kanagawa prefecture, Kimiko Ueno made her anime debut in 2009 as a scriptwriter for children's comedy show Crayon Shin-chan. She also wrote the screenplay for the feature length Crayon Shin-chan: Very Tasty! B-class Gourmet Survival!!, which received a theatrical release across Japan back in 2013.
However, western anime fans will know Kimiko Ueno best for her work on Anime Limited. The show's first season features no fewer than eight episodes penned by Ueno - more than any other scriptwriter. Her contributions include the much-talked-about zombie and rock 'n' roll episodes, 'Sometimes You Can't Live With Dying, Baby' and 'Rock 'n' Roll Dandy'.
